Oylum Öktem's two new exhibitions celebrating the dawn of the Republic's second century at Yapı Kredi bomontiada

The archive of Oylum Öktem's artist family has made significant contributions to the development of the arts of sculpture, music, literature and painting from the founding of the Republic to the present day and Oylum Öktem has been working on for twenty years. The archive titled “An Artist Family of the Republic: “Symphony of Light” is being exhibited for the first time in history. The exhibition, which invites visitors on a journey of artistic highlights including photographs, a piano with a crystal lamp, paintings, sculptures, sketches and archival documents, recalls the knowledge that the elegant struggles rising with art, which are described as the past, are values to be experienced in all ages.

Oylum Öktem's fifth solo exhibition “Closing of an Era; Rebirth” consists of more than 25 sculptures, photographs and video works. Öktem's knowledge of the unconscious activation of the image in the process of creation and the breaking away from this self and opening wings to the “New Self”; the world of immanence to transcendence is revealed through her works.

Opening on October 23, 2024 at Yapı Kredi bomontiada GALLERY in Istanbul, “An Artist Family of the Republic: “Symphony of Light” exhibition and the ‘Closing of an Era; Rebirth’ exhibition on the 4th floor can be visited free of charge between 11.00-19.00 every day until November 30.
